Burnham Copse - After We left
There are a number of success stories from children who have attended Burnham Copse, but until now they have not been shared as much as they should be!

Three ex Burnham Copse pupils have been selected to take part in the National Sustainable Energy Challenge at Southampton University 2009/10.
Nick Elkins, Maria Lock and Katherine Sloan all currently in year 9 at the Hurst Community College were amongst 12 pupils chosen to represent the school in this annual engineering and science challenge.
Taking part in this challenge, Nick, Maria and Katherine will be given the opportunity to:
• Work alongside University students and academic staff at the University of Southampton to explore different kinds of engineering during in-school and on-campus activities
• Receive face-to-face and e-mentoring support from current University engineering students
• Investigate how sustainable engineering can benefit the school, local community and beyond
• Compete with their team for a place at the Greenpower Challenge, an opportunity to design, build and race a Goblin electric car”.
