Woodpecker & Wren Work
This term Wren and Woodpecker class have had fun learning about materials. We have looked at a range of different materials and identified their properties.
We helped Discovery dog to find the best material to clear up a puddle. We investigated to find out which materials were waterproof and absorbant.
We read the story of The Three Little Pigs. We found out what materials they used to build their homes. We then created our own stories thinking of different materials they could have used. We then made a story plan and wrote our own story.
In D.T. we looked at pizza's and identified what ingredients they are made from. We then designed and created our own pizza following instructions to make the dough.
In art we have been Learning about Kandinsky.
We have looked at his art work and used different techniques to create our own pictures. We explored the different 3D effects we could create with paper.
